Reinholdt has travelled far and wide to learn the secrets and specialities of being a perfect assistant to almost any warcaster. Not known for his bravery, the little gobber is know for his cleverness, and will enhance the abilities of your army leaders in many ways.

Mercenary - This model will work for Cygnar, or Khador.

Attached - Before the start of the game, attach this model to a friendly warcaster for the rest of the game. Each warcaster can have only one model/unit attached to it.

Abilities

• Dodge - This model can advance up to 2" immediately after an enemy attack that missed it is resolved unless it was missed while advancing. It cannot be targeted by free strikes during this movement.
• Warcaster Benefits - While its warcaster is in this model's command range, this model can use one of the following special rules:
  • Lucky Charm (★ Action) - During its activation this turn, this model's warcaster can reroll one attack or damage roll, then Lucky Charm expires.
  • Reloader (★ Action) - During its Combat Action this turn, this model's warcaster can make one additional ranged attack.
  • Spyglass (★ Action) - Target an enemy model in this model's LOS. That model loses Stealth for one round.

Reinholdt, Gobber Speculator in a Nutshell

Reinholdt is a favourite attachment of warcasters with a good gun. His ability to remove Stealth is great when it comes into play - which isn't every game. But an extra shot on a good gun can be an amazing benefit.

Because he is a gobber, he unlocks Malvin & Mayhem.

Combos & Synergies

Since theme Force restrictions make him unattractive outside of mercenaries he normally only shows up with Durgen or Crosse2 where all three of his abilities are optimal. Some like him with Ashlynn1 as well. You'll never see him otherwise.

Drawbacks & Downsides

• Unarmed.
• Despite having 5 boxes, his ARM is so low that even a below average damage roll from POW 10 will kill him.
• If you have a very mobile 'caster, you may find him out of position and effectively useless for a turn.
  • And if anything slows him down, the requirement for getting into 4" with your 'caster can similarly deny you a chance to use him.

Tricks & Tips

• Watch for stealth models. If there are none and your caster can shoot safely use reload. Lucky Charm is the third option usually used when Crosse2 activates Death Dealer.

• This model has a limited edition sculpt, released in 2017.
• There are some interesting and hilarious implications with him reloading non-gun ranged attacks. He can squeeze more crows into Old Witch's hands, he can make Karchev slam his axe into the ground twice as fast to make twice as many fissures, etc

Rules Clarifications

Rules Clarification : Unarmed      (Edit) Since this model has no weapons it does not have a melee range. This means it can't engage other models, declare charges, or make free strikes Also it can't gain abilities that require a melee range (such as Ragman granting this model Dark Shroud). However, other models that do have melee weapons can engage this model. So this model can still gain the "target in melee" shooting bonus.

Rules Clarification : Attached      (Edit) Attached models are not (normally) part of the warcaster's/warlock's battlegroup. (Infernal Ruling) (You need the Companion rule to become part of the battlegroup). Thus, attachments are not affected by battlegroup-only effects such as Energizer (unless they're a Companion).

Rules Clarification : Dodge      (Edit) Dodge triggers after any missed attack - melee, ranged, or magic. An enemy model with 2" melee range that is B2B with you before you Dodge, will be exactly 2" away afterwards, and thus will be able to attempt a 2nd melee attack. If you're missed by an AOE attack, but it doesn't deviate very far and still hits you then: Dodge still triggers, but the AOE does damage before you get the Dodge movement. (Infernal Ruling) If an enemy can attack you when you advance and then stop moving (such as Countercharge or Defensive Strike) and they miss you, then you can trigger Dodge (because you're no longer advancing). Dodge plus Riposte (Edit) If a model has both Dodge and Riposte, you can choose whether to dodge or riposte first. Appendix A Step 13 applies here, because the controller of the model being attacked is not the active player.

Rules Clarification : Reloader      (Edit) Reload provides an additional ranged attack and all additional attacks are basic attacks by definition. So you can't use Reloader to do an extra special attack (★ Attack). If a warcaster charges then they can only make additional melee attacks, and so won't benefit from Reloader. Exception: A warcaster with Gunfighter.

Rules Clarification : Spyglass and/or Periscope     (Edit) This ability essentially has infinite range. Lose vs Gain (Edit) Enemy models can still regain Stealth after you use this spell/ability. It lacks the "and cannot regain it" clause. (Locked thread) (In comparison, see Marked for Death which does prevent models regaining stuff.)
