Protectorate Light Warjack

Armed with devastating long-range rockets, the Redeemer was designed to deliver judgement from afar. The warjack’s deadly projectiles are launched into enemy ranks to explode in a cascade of deadly debris that leaves enemy infantry blasted, burned, and praying for the release of death.

Thoughts on Redeemer[edit]

Redeemer in a nutshell[edit]

Guide me O thou Great Redeemer! Boom! The Redeemer sends three inaccurate rockets into the enemy every turn.

Combos & Synergies[edit]

Drawbacks & Downsides[edit]

  • Inaccurate rockets and blast damage doesn't do much to jacks or beasts.
  • Expensive for a light jack.

Tricks & Tips[edit]

  • Park the Redeemer on a hill and go to work.
  • You can bombard the back of the enemy lines from turn 1, if going second. Some lucky scatters can take out squishy support solos, especially if you use your power-up focus to boost the damage roll. Just keep in mind that working out too much scatters can eat up your deathclock.
  • What is mentioned about the clock management in timed matches at the Grenadier and Butcher2, stands here too. Before new players fills their lists up with Redeemers, consider the time it takes for working out the 3 AoEs.

Rules Clarifications[edit]

Rules Clarification : Inaccurate - None yet. (Edit)

Rules Clarification : Warjack      (Edit)

  • The Cortex/Induction core rule means a warjack cannot have more than 3 focus at any time (maybe 4 if they're really special).
    • Many abilities give out focus and don't state an upper limit (such as Convection and Empower). Despite not stating an upper limit, they are always "hard-limited" by the core rule.
    • A warjack can have more than 3 focus during a turn, though. For instance, a knocked down warjack can Power Up and be Allocated 2 focus, then spend 1 to shake knockdown, then another model could Empower it back up to 3.
  • Warjacks cannot spend focus outside of their activation. For instance, they can't boost free strikes or trigger Powerful Attack on Broadsides. (Infernal Ruling)

Inert warjacks

  • Abilities that say they cannot be used if the model is stationary (such as Shield Guard) cannot be used while a warjack is inert, either. Refer "Warcaster Destruction", page 59 of the core rulebook.
