99% of this website is about Mark 3 (mk3), which is the previous edition of the game (2016 to 2022). The reasons for this are explained here.
1% of the website is about Mark 4 (mk4), but only in regards to which mk3 models are useable in mk4 Prime and which are mk4 Unlimited. See Legacy Armies for more detail.

Limbo This model has not (yet) been updated with Mk IV rules, as of 2022.11. Privateer Press have promised it will get updated ... eventually. You can view the Mk3 models that have been updated on this page.
Note that the rest of this page is about the model's Mark III rules.

Princess Delores Graciela specializes in littering the battlefield with bullets. Utilizing Royal Prerogative as a Princess of Ord, she acquired All the Guns along with anything else that might be useful from the country’s treasure vault. With unnatural poise and dexterity, she fires many of her copious guns all at once, allowing her to target multiple models at the same time. Despite the fact that it should clearly not be humanly possible while wielding so many weapons, she can even Aim at particular targets, should the opportunity present itself.

Understanding the Statblock |
|
Riot Quest - Although this model has rules which allow it to be played in Warmachine and Hordes, it was primarily designed for the Riot Quest boardgame. RQ is set in an alternate and/or future timeline where the Infernals won the war. Some of the RQ models are slightly more goofy than their WMH equivalents.
Mastermind [ Ordic ] - This model can be included in any army that also includes another Ordic model, regardless of theme force restrictions. This model cannot be included in any army that doesn't also include another Ordic model.
- Tip: When using Warroom you add Delores to your army by attaching it to an Ordic model.
Abilities
-
Gunfighter
-
Tough
- Bullet Hell [ Minifeat ] - This model can use Bullet Hell once per game at any time during its activation. This activation, this model gains Shooting Gallery and its ranged weapons lose Cumbersome. (Shooting Gallery - A model with Shooting Gallery gains +2 to ranged attack rolls against models within 5" of it.).
- Save the Princess - If this model is directly hit by an enemy attack, choose a friendly non-incorporeal Ordic model within 3" of it to be directly hit instead. That model is automatically hit and suffers all damage and effects.
- Veteran Leader [ Ordic ] - While in this model's command range, other friendly Ordic models gain +1 to attack rolls.

Theme Forces
She can go in almost every theme force. You'll find that there is either an Ordic Mercenary/Minion that you can be hire, or at worst you can take Raluk with an Ordic warjack.
Thoughts on Princess Delores Graciela
Princess Delores Graciela in a nutshell
Delores is the gun-toting princess of Ord, and her rules reflect both her command of Ordic forces (and loyalty), as well as her skill with firearms.
Her minifeat gives her 1 truly devastating turn of high accuracy and the ranged output equivalent to a battle engine. But she is likely to die if she can't use 'save the princess' or leaves anything alive in the smoking craters around her.
Combos & Synergies
- The Toro is an Ordic jack available to many players. Also it is durable enough to Save the Princess several times. It also loves being MAT 7.
- Dez & Gubbin - They are an Ordic model widely available in Hordes.
- Bullet Hell + Black Spot from Rahera in Mercenaries can potentially let Princess shoot the bazooka 10 times (every initial attack she makes with a pistol or minigun can trigger a free Bazooka attack), 11 if it's Rahera's feat turn. (This doesn't work when Rahera is in Cryx, because they become different Factions.)
- She gains Swift Vengeance in Strange Bedfellows. She won't get to shoot, but the extra 3" advance is nice.
- Grim2 buffs her quite well in Vengeance of Dhunia.
- Brug - Target Acquired from him makes her very dangerous on Bullet Hell turns.
- Any form of damage buff/ARM debuff is great with a model that has this much ranged out put: Warwitch Deneghra, Fiona the Black, Hunters Grim, Bane Witch Agathia and many others provide this in some form.
- She can accompany a Toro under the care of Asphyxious4, making it an effective MAT 7, P+S 20 with Dark Shroud. In Cryx there are also a variety of different debuff casters to maximise her ranged output.
- Scaverous has Feat of Worms for more output and Telekinesis for more threat ranged and a to-hit buff.
- As a caster that wants to get things done personally, Mackay is a big fan of Veteran Leader.
- Ashlynn2 can revive her with her feat, speed her up with True Path and on Bullet Hell turn she will set the world on fire with Hand of Fate
- Gunnbjorn2 - His feat doesn't work on her her because she has no AOE weapon, not even her bazooka, but his Bring It Down or Relay Coordinates battle plans work on her, as well as Fox Hole and Explosivo. Naturally you need to be in Vengence of Dhunia for this to work, where Delores becomes a Trollblood/Minion model.
- Lukas, Thexus, Sturm & Drang all can TK her around.
- Ossrum - Snipe and Bulldozing jacks for devastating Bullet Hell turns.
- Gorten - She can slam him forward for extra threat range on the feat and lock opponents into place so she can unload hell upon them.
- Magnus1 - A Death Ward Toro as a bodyguard and Snipe.
- Magnus2 - Unyielding Toros to protect her and Bullet Dodger and Calamity.
- Iron Lich Asphyxious - Can only take her with Madelyn, but its sooo worth it! Her knock down gun lets you double stack Scything Touch and Parasite on a target for -5 ARM.
- Calaban - He has Parasite so soften up targets. unfortunately she is not Friendly Faction to him so cannot trigger his feat, which would be amazing.
- Maelok - He has Mortality. Just as with Calaban, nothing else on his card interacts with her, sadly.
Drawbacks & Downsides
- She's expensive money-wise to play: being packaged with the Security Bots inflates her dollar cost to the same as a heavy warjack.
- She has no backup melee weapon. Gunfighter is nice and all, but sometimes you get stuck in melee with someone that can't be targeted by ranged attacks.
- Likewise being blinded or affected by similar abilities that deny shooting neuters her for a turn.
- She's not a minion model, so she gets no Friendly Faction synergies there, outside of VoD.
Tricks & Tips
- "Save the Princess"
- It is not the same as Sacrificial Pawn - instead it allows her to shunt any type of attack onto a nearby Ordic model (Sac Pawn only works vs ranged attacks).
- It is not optional and the hit & damage must be transferred (if a friendly Ordic model is near enough).
- "Mastermind"
- Due to the way this ability is worded she never occupies your merc solo slot in non-merc, non-cross faction themes, making her inclusion very flexible.

Rules Clarifications
|
Rules Clarification : Mastermind (Edit)
- If a Mastermind is taken in a theme with a bonus that says "All models in this theme are considered to be [X] Faction" (such as Vengeance of Dhunia) then the Mastermind will change to that Faction, too. (Locked Thread)
|
|
Rules Clarification: : Gunfighter (Edit) (Click Expand to read)
|
General
- You cannot Aim if you start your activation in melee. (Infernal Confirmation)
- A free strike with a ranged weapon still gets the +2 to hit and boosted damage (I'm pretty sure - I'd like to double check it though).
- If you have a Gunfighter stuck in melee and the Gunfighter wants to shoot a friendly model, then you can only do so if that friendly is within the Gunfighter's melee range. Also, if that friendly model is engaged by an enemy, that friendly model will always get the +4 DEF bonus (because the point of origin of the attack, the Gunfighter, is not "in melee" with the friendly model).
Targeting
- Outside of melee
- If the Gunfighter isn't in melee, and didn't charge this turn, then it shoots just the same as a normal model.
- In melee, but didn't charge
- If it didn't charge, it can target anyone it's "in melee" with.
- This can be any model in the Gunfighter's melee range, plus any models that have the Gunfighter in their melee range.
- If a Gunfighter kills all the enemies it is in melee with, and still has the ability to make more ranged attacks, then those attacks just follow the normal Ranged Attack rules. (Infernal Ruling)
- Charged into melee
- If it did charge, its initial attacks can only target models that are in the Gunfighter's melee range.
- If all models in the Gunfighter's melee range are killed before it makes its initial attacks, it loses any unspent initial attacks. (Infernal Ruling)
- However if it can purchase additional attacks (via Reload for instance) and/or get free attacks (via Black Spot for instance), then those non-initial attacks can target anyone it's "in melee" with, as per #2 above.
- Other targeting notes
- Remember, you can never be "in melee" with a friendly model, so a Gunfighter can pretty much never choose to target a friend while it's in melee.
- If the gunfighter is unengaged, it can still shoot a friendly model, which would just be a normal ranged attack.
- Gunfighter doesn't change the RNG of your gun, it just provides you an ability to use it while in melee and imposes some targeting restrictions.
- If you're affected by a debuff that reduces your RNG to 1", that will further limit who you can target.
- If you're affected by a debuff that reduces your RNG to 0", you cannot make attacks (refer 'Weapon Statistics', page 19 of rulebook).
Attack Roll
- You use the Gunfighter's RAT for the attack roll.
- Gunfighters do not ignore the Cover/Concealment bonus. (Infernal Ruling)
- How the +4 DEF bonus for "being in melee" works with Gunfighters is:
- they always ignore it vs enemies, because the "point of origin of the attack is in melee with the target".
- they never ignore it vs friendlies, because you cannot be in melee with a friendly target.
Incorporeal Gunfighters
- Note that enemy models without magic weapons can't hurt you in melee, but they can engage you.
- If they engage you then you're in melee and your target selection is limited to just models in melee (as explained above).
Gunfighter + an AOE weapon
- If you miss then the AOE will deviate as per the normal AOE rules. Not very far, though, considering the max distance you'll be apart is 2".
- If you use an AOE weapon to make a free strike, you get the +2 to hit and you get boosted damage against everything under the blast template.
Gunfighter + a spray weapon
- Who you can target with the spray is limited as described above, but you get to put the whole spray template down and potentially hit models well outside the melee.
- If you use a spray weapon to make a free strike, you get the +2 to hit and you get boosted damage against everything under the spray template.
Units of Gunfighters
- If a unit of Gunfighters successfully charge, but someone else in their unit kills their charge target before they get a turn to attack, then they may redirect their attack.
- Redirected attack:
- If they're still engaged, their initial attack (s) must be vs someone in their melee range.
- If they're still engaged, but no one is in their own melee range, they don't get any initial attacks.
- If they're unengaged, they are now free to shoot anyone within the gun's normal range.
Other interactions
- Gunfighter vs Point Blank (Edit)
- If a model has both Gunfighter and Point Blank, then you should declare whether you're using it as a ranged attack or melee attack whenever you shoot the gun. Because that can limit what other initial/additional attacks you can make. (Infernal Ruling)
- These two abilities are subtly different, but it's an important difference.
- Gunfighter allows you to make ranged attacks while in melee.
- Point blank allows you to make melee attacks with your ranged weapon.
- Since you can't make both ranged and melee attacks in the same turn, a Gunfighter model has a choice of either initial melee attack(s) or initial ranged attack(s). (unless it has Virtuoso or something).
- Whereas a Point Blank model chooses to make initial melee attacks, and then gets to make attacks with both weapons.
- Furthermore, the types of bonuses, penalties, and special effects you (or your opponent) can trigger will change dramatically:
- Any buffs/triggers on ranged attacks (such as Evasive, Shield Guard, Deadeye, etc) will affect Gunfighter attacks, but not Point Blank attacks.
- Any buffs/triggers on melee attacks (such as Battle Lust, Riposte etc) will affect Point Blank attacks, but not Gunfighter attacks.
- Gunfighter & Cavalry ( Edit )
- A cavalry model that charges then makes a Gunfighter attack will not gain a boosted charge attack roll, because a ranged attack is not a charge attack. (Infernal Ruling)
- You also won't gain a boosted charge damage roll, as per normal for a Gunfighter.
- Gunfighter vs RNG modifiers (Edit)
- Unlike what most people might tell you, Gunfighter doesn't have a "range", it just lets the model make ranged attacks while in melee. The gun's actual RNG is unaffected though, until you put something like Windstorm (-5 RNG) on it. Then what happens is:
- If the gun is RNG 7, Windstorm will reduce it to 2". Thus it won't affect any Gunfighter attacks.
- If the gun is RNG 6, Windstorm will reduce it to 1". Thus you can only make Gunfighter attacks vs models within 1" (if you can - charging Gunfighters may be more limited).
- If the gun is RNG 5, Windstorm will reduce it to 0". Thus you can't make any attacks as per 'Weapon Statistics' (page 19 of the core rulebook).
- (Infernal Ruling)

Rules Clarification : Tough - None yet. (Edit)
|
Rules Clarification : Bullet Hell (Edit)
-
Restrictions on "Any Time" abilities ( Edit) [Show/Hide]
- "Any Time" abilities can be used at any time during a model/unit's activation, except:
- Before any compulsory forfeiture of movement/action. See step 2 of the activation sequence, appendix A.
- After the model with the "Any Time" ability has had their activation end "prematurely". By this I mean you resolved something which includes the phrase "its activation ends". Examples include:
- Running, failing a charge, or failing a slam.
- Abilities that include "then its activation ends" (such as Reposition and Teleport).
- In between declaring your charge target and making your charge movement. (Infernal Ruling)
- In between completing your charge movement and determining whether it was a successful charge. (Infernal Ruling)
- When you're in the middle of moving. (Note: Impact Attacks count as being in the middle of movement).
- When you're in the middle of an attack. Which also includes effects that occur "after the attack is resolved".
(Although the attack is "resolved" at Step 11, in terms of using an "Any Time" ability the attack is not "finished" until after Step 14. Refer to the first paragraph of Apdx A.)
- Your opponent interrupted your activation to trigger one of their own abilities (such as Countercharge).
- Warcasters/warlocks/etc can normally cast a spell or use their feat "At any time". However, there is a core rule saying they cannot do so on the same activation that they run. So, they are subject to all the same restrictions listed above, plus they can't cast/feat before running.
- Units: See below.
- In general you can use "Any Time" abilities while you're knocked down or stationary (except Spells and Feats which specify you can't).
- If you have a gun with a random ROF, you can use an "Any Time" ability inbetween rolling the number of shots and actually making the first attack. (Infernal Ruling)
- Units with "Any Time" abilities
- You cannot use an "Any Time" ability before issuing/receiving orders. See step 1 and 2 of the activation sequence, appendix A.
- A model in a unit can't use an "Any Time" ability after they run (Infernal Ruling) or fail a charge. Because that makes that specific model's activation to end even though the unit's activation is still ongoing, and you can't use abilities on models that are not active.
- You can use an "Any Time" ability before running, however.
- A model in a unit can't use an "Any Time" ability after anyone in the unit has begun a Reposition move. (Infernal Ruling)
Rules Clarification : Shooting Gallery - None yet. (Edit)

|
Rules Clarification : Save the Princess (Edit)
- You shift all effects onto the new model, including stuff that triggers on "when this attack hits".
- Vs an AOE attack - You move the AOE template to the new model. Because, with reference to the Attack Sequence, the hit 'moves' at Step 6 and the template placement is determined at Step 7.
- Vs a spray attack - You don't move the spray template. It gets placed at Step 3.
- You can end up with a situation where a model is thrown at itself (Enemy picks up an Ordic model, throws it at the Princess, and then the Ordic model 'saves the Princess' by becoming the new target).
- In this case, a model that is thrown at itself would not move, it would be knocked down, and it would take a standard power attack damage roll but it would not take an additional die for colliding with itself. (Infernal Ruling)
|
|
Rules Clarification : Veteran Leader (Edit)
- Veteran Leaders don't give themselves the buff, because of the "other models within ..." clause. However, if you have two models giving out the buff, then they can give it to each other. (Locked thread)
- If a model can get Veteran Leader from two sources (such as Vet Leader [Winterguard] simultaneous with Vet Leader [Assault Kommandos]) then the benefit does not stack. (Infernal Ruling)
- Some versions say "friendly" and some don't. Regardless, Veteran Leader only buffs friendly models. (Infernal Ruling)
|
Rules Clarification : Cumbersome - None yet. (Edit)
|
Rules Clarification : Momentum (Edit)
- Huge-based models with Momentum don't get the +2" slam distance that normally applies when huge-based models slam smaller ones. Because that bonus movement only applies to a Slam Power Attack and Momentum is an effect of the weapon, not a Power Attack.
- Knockdown (Edit) - Remember, knockdown only prevents what it says it does. Refer to the Knockdown page for a recap of what a model can/can't do.
|
Rules Clarification: : Slam (Edit) (Click Expand to read)
|
- General
- If you slam someone via a Power Attack the distance they move depends on relative base sizes.
- If you slam someone via a weapon or spell, the distance they move will be as per that weapon's/spell's rules text. Sometimes it doesn't depend on base size.
- Obstacles stop slams, but they don't stop throws.
- Obstructions stop both.
- If three models are B2B and in a triangle formation, and you slam one toward the other two, it will contact both those two models simultaneously. (Infernal Ruling)
- You can add model special rules (such as Gang) to the damage roll.
- Power Attack Slam
- You don't add any special rules on your model, unless it specifically refers to Power Attack Slam (such as Hard Head)
- You can use an "any time" ability after resolving the slam movement but before the slam attack roll. (Infernal Ruling)
- The range of a Power Attack Slam is irrespective of your weapon range:
- A Power Attack Slam made by a colossal or gargantuan has a 2˝ melee range.
- A Power Attack Slam made by any other model has a 0.5˝ melee range.
- You can boost the damage roll.
- Weapon Slam (ie Smite)
- You use the weapon's full P+S, not the attacker's base STR.
- You can add weapon special rules (such as Weapon Master) to the damage roll.
- You can boost the damage roll (and if you charged, it is auto-boosted).
- Dual Attack & Slam/Trample ( Edit )
- Power Attack Slam and Trample combine your Normal Movement and Combat Action, and how this works with Dual Attack is:
- Slam: You must resolve the movement, the attack, and moving the slammed model. Only then can you make initial ranged attacks.
- Trample: You must resolve the movement, the attacks, and the free strikes. Only then can you make initial ranged attacks.
- (Infernal Ruling)
- Incorporeal vs Slammed/Thrown models ( Edit )
- Incorporeal models cannot be moved by someone trying to slam them.
- Slammed models can move through Incorporeal models.
- If they have enough movement to get past them, no dramas.
- If they land on them, you move the Incorporeal model out of the way as per the Rule of Least Disturbance.
- If the Incorporeal model cannot be moved (i.e. it's a flag) then you move the slammed model out of the way, also by the rule of Least Disturbance.
- For the purposes of Collateral Damage, only the model(s) you contacted before you applied the rule of Least Disturbance count as contacted.
- The same logic applies to Throws.
- Collateral Damage
- Collateral damage cannot be boosted and is not considered damage from an attack or model. Refer page 33 of the 2021.08 version of the rules pdf. As a result:
- It doesn't trigger stuff that relies on being hit by an enemy (such as Shock Field) or damaged by an enemy (such as Vengeance).
- It doesn't get bonus damage from stuff that adds to a model's damage roll (such as Signs & Portents or Prey).
- It doesn't matter if the attacker has crippled weapon systems or aspects.
|
|
|
Rules Clarification: : Magical Damage (Edit) (Click Expand to read)
|
* The "Damage Type: Magical" is not inherited by "secondary" damage from a weapon. That is, stuff like arcs (Electro Leap) or hazards (Scather). (Infernal Ruling)
- All spells have "Damage Type: Magical" (refer errata).
- This is inherited by "immediate" secondary damage (such as Eruption of Spines). (Infernal Ruling)
- and might be inherited by "lingering" secondary damage (see below).
- If a spell leaves a template in play that does damage to models that walk around in it, then:
- if it is not described as a hazard it will do magical damage to models that walk around in it. (Example: Razor Wall)
- if it is a hazard then it will not do magical damage to models that walk around in it. Instead, it does whatever damage type is specified by the spell description. (Example: Breath of Corruption).
- (Infernal Ruling)
- If a weapon/spell includes Magic Damage and another kind of elemental damage it will still damage Incorporeal models. Incorporeal models are not affected by the rule "if an attack does multiple types of damage and a model is immune to at least one it is immune to the entire attack."
The phrase "immune to non-magical damage" should be interpreted as "immune to damage that doesn't include Damage Type: Magical" (not interpreted as "has immunity to Corrosion and Electricity and Cold and etc.")
