Understanding
the Statblock
  • Mercenary - Rahera will work for Cryx.
  • Partisan [Cryx] - When included in a Cryx army, this model/unit is a Cryx model/unit instead of a Mercenary model/unit.

Abilities[edit]

  • Warcaster - All warcasters come with a stack of standard special rules - most notably being awesome. (Click the link for a full rundown.)
  • Parry - This model cannot be targeted by free strikes.
  • Pathfinder - This model treats rough terrain as open terrain while advancing. While charging, slam power attacking, or trample power attacking, this model does not stop its movement when it contacts an obstacle.
  • Tough - When this model is disabled, roll a d6. On a 5 or 6, remove 1 damage point from this model; it is no longer disabled and becomes knocked down. While knocked down this model loses Tough.
  • Acrobatics - This model can advance through other models if it has enough movement to move completely past their bases. This model ignores intervening models when declaring its charge target.
  • Sprint - At the end of an activation in which it destroyed or removed from play one or more enemy models with melee attacks, this model can immediately make a full advance, then its activation ends.
  • Tactician [Privateer and Scharde] - While in this model's command range, friendly Privateer and Scharde models can ignore other friendly Privateer and Scharde models when determining LOS. Friendly Privateer and Scharde models can advance through other friendly Privateer and Scharde models in this model's command range if they have enough movement to move completely past them.

Weapons[edit]

  • Hand Cannon - 12" range, POW 12 ranged attack
  • Blood Axe - 1" reach, POW 6, P+S 13 melee attack
    • Damage Type: Magical - This weapon deals Magical damage.
    • Blood Boon - If this weapon kills an enemy, this model can cast a spell of COST 3 or less for free. Blood Boon can only trigger once per activation.
  • Bone Cleaver - 1" reach, POW 6, P+S 13 melee attack
    • Damage Type: Magical
    • Critical Decapitation - On a critical hit, double the damage exceeding the ARM of the model hit. A model disabled by this attack cannot make a Tough roll.

Spells[edit]

This spell has two effects: 1) Target enemy warrior model/unit suffers -2 DEF. 2) When a friendly Faction model destroys one or more affected models with a basic melee or ranged attack during its activation, immediately after the attack is resolved it can make one additional melee or ranged attack. Attacks gained from Black Spot cannot generate additional attacks from Black Spot.
  • Bleed - Cost 2, 8" range, POW 10
When Bleed damages a living enemy model, this model can remove d3 damage points.
  • Escort - Cost 2, Target SELF, Upkeep
Warjacks in the caster's battlegroup beginning their activations in its control range gain +2" movement when advancing as part of their Normal Movement. Also, the caster gains +2 ARM while a battlegroup warjack is within 3" of it.
While in the caster's control range, models in its battlegroup roll an extra die on all melee attack and melee damage rolls, then discard the lowest. Manifest Destiny lasts for one turn.
1) While in the caster's control range, enemy models suffer -5 RNG on their ranged attacks. 2) When an enemy's ranged AOE deviates from a point in the caster's control range, after determining the distance you get to choose the direction. 3) Windstorm lasts for one round.

Feat : Headhunters[edit]

  1. While in Rahera’s control range, friendly living trooper models gain Blood-Bound.
    • (Blood-Bound - When a model with Blood-Bound destroys a living enemy model with an attack, after the attack is resolved you can return to play one destroyed model in its unit. Place the returned model completely within 3" of the attacking model. The returned model cannot activate the turn it returns to play. The destroyed enemy model is removed from play and does not provide a soul or corpse token.)
  2. Additionally, while Rahera’s control range, friendly living warrior models’ melee weapons gain Critical Decapitation (as above).

Headhunters lasts for one turn.

Rahera in a nutshell[edit]

Captain Rahera is a new Mercenary Warcaster who is also a Cryx partisan. That means there is a lot of ground to cover with her since she will be playable in two factions and many themes. She is designed to be a versatile hit-and-run caster who can do a lot of killin' on her own, while also broadly supporting her army. Rahera has a combined arms approach, favoring a selection of both 'jacks and infantry, which we have baked into her design with her feat and powerful spell list like Manifest Destiny. With her high natural speed, Sprint, and Blood Boon on one of her weapons, she should be able to get in and get out while getting a free casting of one of her more powerful spells.

Placeholder Her Spell list favors her whole battlegroup, so you'll want a decent sized one. It also favors melee jacks over ranged. (Though black spot helps any).

Which warjacks can she take?[edit]

When she is included in a Cryx army Rahera has access to the full range of Cryx warjacks, but she cannot include any Mercenary warjacks in her battlegroup.

When she is included in a Mercenary army Rahera has to choose from the "Human" Mercenary warjacks shown below, but she cannot include any Cryx warjacks in her battlegroup.
